Dress Code

Dress Code Categories

Must Wear

o    A Shirt (With fabric in the front, back and on the sides under the arms. 
o    Bottom Coverings: Pants, Sweatpants, Shorts, Skirt, Dress, Leggings 
o    Shoes; activity specific shoe requirements are permitted (for example, athletic shoes during PE). 

May Wear

o    Hats, including religious headwear
o    Sweatshirts or Hoodies (Hoods must be removed in classrooms) 
o    Fitted Pants, including leggings, yoga pants and skinny jeans
o    Ripped Jeans, as long as the underwear or buttocks are not exposed
o    Tank Tops
o    Athletic Attire

Cannot Wear

o    Clothing or headwear that show violent language or images
o    Images or language depicting drugs or alcohol (or any other illegal item or activity) or the use of drugs, alcohol (or any other illegal activity). 
o    Hate speech, profanity or pornography
o    Images or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment.
o    Any clothing that reveals visible undergarments
o    Swimsuits (except as required in class or athletic practice) 
o    Accessories that can be considered dangerous or could be used as a weapon. 
o    Any item that obscures the face or ears (except as a religious observance)

PE Clothing

 All students enrolled in physical education classes are required to dress in appropriate PE attire.  
•    Shorts no pockets, shorts with pockets. Tee shirts each.
•    Sweatshirts, sweatpants, yoga pants.

Students who choose not to purchase PE clothes are still required to dress in appropriate attire but will be provided used, but clean, “loaners” on a daily basis.
