Key Club is the largest student-led organization in the world, with over 270,000 members in over 5,000 schools in the 38+ countries. With the focus of "Caring-Our Way of Life", Key Clubbers serve the community though service and fundraising. We work with four major organizations throughout the year (UNICEF, March of Dimes, CMN, and Ped. Trauma Program) to raise millions to save children from life threatening diseases.
Here at McNair, we are part of the Division 27 North Grizzlies. Grizzlies are 1/6 of Region 16, which is part of many other regions making up the California-Nevada-Hawaii District, the LARGEST Key Club district in the world.
CNH is the only district to share borders with another district, the CNH KIWIN'S!
Key Club was started in Sacramento High School in 1925!

On February 2nd, 2019, over forty students in our Academic Decathlon team competed in the county competition against students from eleven other schools. They spent their day taking seven quizzes on various subjects relating to the 1960’s and my starter teams participated in the highly competitive Super Quiz.
All of their hard work that they put in this year paid off as they won FIRST place in the club division!
In addition, Collin Pham and Sahila Shah were both awarded the AcaDec UOP scholarship.
It is a $5,000 four-year renewable scholarship, and only three were offered (and McNair got two!).
Please congratulate these two seniors.
These students walked away with medals: Collin Pham also medaled in the essay category (making his AP Lit teacher very proud ). Elizabeth Nguyen medaled in both the Math and Art categories. Leonardo Nguyen medaled in Economics and Science. Nimran Shergill medaled in Interview. Dat Tran medaled in Math. Shu Zhang medaled in Social Science.
Thank you to everyone who helped out with the AcaDuckies!
Special kudos to Mrs. Ollenberger and Mr. Perez for always being there to rally us on.
